Anyone could easily say that this was a crazy year in Hollywood, that is, if you were paying any attention. Here are some of the highlights of 2009:
Lady Gaga came out with a new album, was named Princess of Pop, and was claimed to be a Hermaphrodite.
On their way to an awards ceremony, Chris Brown allegedly abused Rihanna, leading to their break up, Rihanna's efforts to stop abuse against women, and Chris Brown's career taking a new path (not in a good way).
The new reality show Jon and Kate Plus 8 becomes one of the most talked about reality shows of the year. Unfortunately, Jon and Kate took over much of the media this year as well, which got rather annoying.
Tiger Woods was discovered to have cheated on his wife not once, not twice, but sixteen times (maybe more?), making him the main spotlight in the media for most of the end of this year. Many companies dropped their contracts with him, and of course, his wife Elin chose to leave him. You've got to have some sympathy towards the guy, right? Nope, sorry...
Brittany Murphy died at age 32, leaving behind her husband who at one point was accused of being the cause for her death. Brittany's death was most likely a result of drug use. Blogger Perez Hilton actually predicted her death, which is interesting, because I had no idea she was even using.
Michael Jackson died at age 50 from a cardiac arrest. This was probably one of the saddest parts of 2009 for me, and many others. I looked up to Michael ever since I was young, and it was such a sudden death. At the time of his death, Michael was preparing for his final tour "This is It"
Last but not least, the moment at the VMA's between Kanye West and Taylor Swift was one of the most memorable moments of the year. Many jokes were made about this moment, however you have to feel sorry for the poor girl. Later on, Beyonce was nice enough to allow Taylor to come back on stage to finish her speech.
