Brittany Murphy's Husband Dies

How awful! Only 5 months after her death, Brittany Murphy's husband Simon Monjack passed away this morning. Paramedics responded to a 911 call at 9:24pm last night in the same home where Brittany died. Brittany's mother discovered Simon's body. 

"Brittany's mom made the 911 call. He was unresponsive when responders arrived and was pronounced dead at the house," Los Angeles Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told People magazine. "It's being reported [by the responding fire department] as a possible heart attack. We're not sure if it is natural causes or a possible accident maybe because of the prescription medication found there."  

Brittany Murphy's Husband Gets Nothing!

The late Brittany Murphy left her husband Simon Monjack out of her will, and according to him that's just how he wanted it. The beautiful actress, who passed away on December 20, 2009, at the young age of 32, left her entire estate to her mother Sharon Murphy...and nothing to husband/screenwriter Simon Monjack. Simon claims it was on his request that he was not named a beneficiary, and that the will specifically stated: "I am married to Simon Monjack who I have intentionally left out of this will."

According to gossip website TMZ, Brittany first made a handwritten will years before she was married, leaving everything to her mother Sharon. This will was kept in a safe of her manager's. Then after marrying Simon she had a formal document drafted, along with a trust, but continued to leave all of her assets to her mother, who lived with the couple. The value of her assets are unknown.

Sharon has now reportedly put their Los Angeles home, where Brittany was found unconscious, up for sale for $7.5 million and she and Simon are planning to relocate to New York.

It seems to me like Simon WASN'T using Brittany for her money like people try and accuse. Best wishes to the family.

Brittany Murphy's Last Movie

Abandoned, the last film Brittany Murphy appeared in before her death, will be released into theaters this summer. 

"It was important to Anchor Bay that the timing of this release be right, because we're sensitive to such a tragic loss. However, we also recognize that Brittany's fans will want to see her amazing work," said Anchor Bay's president in a recent statement.

I think I'll go see it! Will you?
